"Family Dance" is a song used for a film insert on Sesame Street by animator Karen Aqua. The rhyming lyrics are spoken by Alicia Bell, as a little girl discussing her family.
The segment used cut-out photographs, animated to appear to be dancing. The models were Aqua's brother Hal Aqua (mentioned in the lyric, "and his name is Hal"), his wife Risa, and children Annie and Zoe. The latter was the point of view character. Ken Field played alto sax on the soundtrack.
