Long Beach kidney pool immortalized in Chlorine: Pool Skating Documentary

Welcome to this classic Long Beach, California, kidney pool manufactured by Anthony pools and probably a late 60s era swimming pool judging by the transitions and the plaster work. This right hand kidney had the typically obnoxious Anthony coping that most pool skaters either love or hate and nothing in the middle. It was a fun and very smooth pool to ride with a slightly kinked transition throughout the deep end. I rode here more than anybody. This was a very difficult pool to get into and it’s no longer there or it is but it’s sitting underneath a layer of asphalt because now it’s a parking lot. Good luck on that. I guess the spot is still skateable just no vert available only flat ground and parking curbs.
