Requirements to join the Republican Executive Committee are to be a registered Republican for at least 365 days and a resident of that county. Anyone is welcome to attend to see if the REC is an organization they want to join.

SJC REC Chair, Blake Paterson, attempted to kick people out of a meeting because he did not personally want them there. It is a violation of people's Constitutional rights to prevent them from attending a *public* meeting in a *public* building which they have every right to be at.

At this same meeting, Blake tried to force a woman with a disability to sit and refused to start the meeting until she did. No person has the right to force another to sit or stand. It is difficult for this woman to sit because of previous injuries and it is less painful for her to stand. Blake called her out for not obeying him.

When members rightfully stood up for her and called Blake out for his behavior, Blake tried to have law eforcement remove them from the meeting as well.

Aa seen here, the SJCSO told Blake that he cannot remove people as he wishes because it's a violation of the Constitution. Those who keep missing the point, please, pay attention to what this officer is saying. Blake had no legal ability to kick anyone out, and it is a violation of their Constitutional rights to do so. If these officers removed any of the people Blake wanted removed, theyvwould be opening themselves up to lawsuits for violating the law.

On top of this, Blake lied to law enforcement by Implying to officers that the Vice Chair and another member pulled a gun on law enforcement in the past. He was attempting to pit the officers against the people he dislikes.
