Antique & Vintage Party Prepping While Shopping! | Mini Vlog

You can't give a party without inviting people, and that means "having" to go to our favorite local antiquing haunts!

Luke's Town & Country Flea Market is our first stop, where we hope end-of-season resellers will come replenish for their off-season selling at our sale. But we can't resist some of their bargains, either, and spend as much time shopping as giving out fliers! We load the van with a parking meter, a great 1960s radio and a cool pair of green/blue glass pendant lamps, then head to neighboring shops to spread the word.

People get their info in different ways in small rural towns, so we're augmenting our usual social media with in-person invites, fliers posted at grocery stores and vendor malls, and old-fashioned ads in local shopper newspapers. This lets us find a few cool Mid-Century glass items (including a fabulously garish 1970s blue carnival glass lamp) as we return to the storehouse to set up.

A few hours later, and we begin to see progress! A pile of worthy items should fly fast off our newly designated $1 table, we turn a forgotten corner into a cool looking area with a bargain-priced South American wall map and two wired railroad lanterns, and restock our vintage kitchen with goodies we're pricing mostly $5 or less for our sale.
