Newly released footage has shown Russian drones striking two German-made Leopard 2A4 battle tanks. In one of the videos, a Leopard tank is advancing through an open field, firing shells before being struck by a First Person View (FPV) drone. In the other, the tanks are seen taking direct hits from both drones and artillery, and bursting into flames. The clips were shared by military bloggers and confirmed by the conflict monitor channel, LostArmour. The tanks were hit near the town of Rabotino in Zaporozhye, where intense battles have occurred in recent weeks.

These two tanks are the latest in a long line of publicly documented destruction of Western-supplied weapons in Ukraine. Footage of destroyed Leopards, Challengers and other units have been widely shared on social media during the conflict. Moscow has repeatedly expressed concerns over foreign arms shipments to Ukraine, arguing that they would prolong the fighting without achieving significant deterrence. With the Ukrainian counteroffensive struggling to do little than produce devastating losses for little to no territory, it appears those fears were justified.
