As he entered Clifton J. Ozen High School, Teezo transitioned from DJing to rap. He uploaded his music on YouTube, facing initial criticism that fueled his determination to improve.

After graduation, Teezo taught himself various skills while working odd jobs. He learned to write, produce, record, and edit his music. Soon, he was producing beats for local artists in Beaumont and Houston.
