Hillary Clinton Deflects

Hillary Clinton of ‘we came, we saw, he died’ fame got interrupted during a 23 October address at the Institute of Global Politics at Columbia University in New York. A protester stood up and demanded the former US Secretary of State and current chair of the institute's faculty board denounce US President Joe Biden's statement, which the protester said is pushing the world closer to World War III. Biden announced on 19 October that he will ask the US Congress for more than $100 billion to finance arms to Taiwan, Ukraine and Israel, all in what seems to be a speedrun toward global conflict. The amount also includes a much smaller $100 million for humanitarian aid to Gaza and $13 billion for US border 'security.' Clinton chose to deflect, turning to a Ugandan on stage to talk about the recently enacted anti-gay bill.

War is the United States' biggest export, and that might explain why so much of the establishment is against peace. The US military industrial complex gobbles up close to $1 trillion a year. Meanwhile, more than half-million people in the United States are homeless, infrastructure is crumbling and healthcare is near non-existent. To end world hunger, only $40 billion is required.

As for Hillary, many Africans remember her role in turning what was once one of Africa’s wealthiest countries, Libya, into a dysfunctional state with slave markets. She has never expressed remorse, and instead recalled the murder of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi with a cackle while speaking with a television reporter in 2011: ‘We came, we saw, he died.’ That her kind is in charge of the Western-led world order is cause for concern for everyone as World War III could be the end of us all.

Let us know what you think of Clinton's response.
