Comparing ourselves to others is a strategy that leads to toxic behavior instead of personal actualization. As a competitive person by nature, the most difficult opponent I have ever faced has proven to be myself. The man in the mirror is your ultimate competitor. Competing with others can tempt us to bring others down instead of building ourselves up. This is why I say cease competing and start creating. Positivity will propel you to heights unseen by 99% of people, negativity will lead you to clipping your own wings. Tonight, we will explore examples of this phenomenon and how you can become better not attempt to bring others down.
