Every week, scientists breed and genetically modify these mosquitoes that are then released into the public/wild

These mosquitos are supposedly,“improving people’s lives” - I just don’t see how? Do you?

To me it seems that these mosquitos could be weaponized with different disease and then sent out to the public?
