The Authority of the Holy Scriptures, Part II

1 Peter 3:15
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear;

Every believer owe the Lord Jesus the duty of knowing the gospel sufficiently to make a defense for it scripturally, yet intelligently. The purpose of this lesson and others to follow is to equip the man in Christ with biblical explanation for the exclusive devotion to the Holy Bible in defense of the gospel of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ.

The Lord taught the gospel out of the Holy Scripture, the apostles gave evidence of the Lord's resurrection from the Holy Scriptures. It is safe to conclude that the Bible remains the dependable official account of God on what He is doing in this world and must remain our go to evidence book to explain the kingdom of our God.
