The WayGu’s verses the GrassFeds : A Civil War of Steak! (In this war everyone wins!) #steak
“What am I going to do with these two Steaks?” And so starts the “sad” story of Smokey Dave when presented with the dilemma of “Should I cook and eat this WayGu steak? Or should I cook and eat this GrassFed Steak?” (The answer of course is Yes!). I compare the flavor, texture, and overall “goodness” of two amazing steaks – but amazing for completely different reasons. First reason, the absolute delight of the melt-in-your mouth WayGu bursting with delicious flavor from all that fat, against the much more “full bodied” the Grass Fed steak was. The person on the Carnivore diet or who is trying to build muscle fast should probably stick with the Grass Fed, and adjust Sous Vide time to their particular texture liking. But there is just no denying the amazing WayGu steak done in this fashion. And don’t forget the over the top flavors from the Hickory and Mesquite smoke!
