Grand Rapids Housing Commission is opening the waitlist for Section 8 Housing

Those are available for people who make 30-percent or below of the area's median income and the wait list will have five-thousand spots open. GRHC executive director Lindsey Reames says the subsidy helps people find stable and affordable housing. She says they typically have the number of waitlist openings turn over every three years.
