Wild two-hour Perth car chase ends with dramatic moment

An hours-long pursuit ended with an athletic body slam after an alleged fugitive tried outrunning a line of police cars before he was slammed onto the side of the road.

Onlookers filmed the 45-year-old man slowly driving a partially destroyed Toyota Corolla down a road in Spearwood, south of Perth around midday on Monday.

At least half a dozen police cars were tailing the driver, who seemed to be enjoying himself and was seen waving to people on the street.

The Corolla slowly puttered down the road until reaching what appeared to be a blockade of cars before the man attempted to flee on foot.
