2 People Killed in Motorcycle Crash

Two people died Saturday night in a motorcycle crash in Port Charlotte, the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office confirmed. A motorcyclist and his passenger were traveling at a high rate of speed on Kings Highway just west of Westchester Blvd when they approached a left curve. The motorist failed to slow down and struck the curb causing the motorcycle to overturn, CCSO said. Both the driver and the passenger were transported to separate hospitals where they later died. At this time it is unclear is alcohol played a factor in this crash.
