Whitewater Mounds - Mysterious Mound Builders

I visited the mysterious Whitewater effigy mounds in Wisconsin. There were three red flags that stood out from the research that was recovered. The flags are the following: (1) the current Native Americans at the time of "white settlement" did not know who built the mounds and did not claim them, (2) Turtle Mound tells the tale of what seems to be Atlantis as it was a giant turtle that saved the people when the floods came to their land, and (3) Sacred soil was carried to the mounds and the origin of the soil is unknown.
