John Ball Zoo Pays Tribute To Long Time Resident With Teddy Bear Event

Earlier this month it was announced from the John Ball Zoo, the passing of their longtime resident, 31-year-old brown bear Yogi.

In honor of his life, the zoo held a two-week teddy bear drive which brought in over 900 teddy bears and other stuffed animals.

This past Friday, officials from John Ball Zoo donated all of the stuffed toys to Helen DeVos Children’s hospital.

Yogi had been at the Zoo since 1994 after being relocated from Yellowstone National Park.
