We have as a culture lost our way when it comes to debating with the intent of learning. That is our greatest wish for you tonight, to learn. We do this best when we come to a debate with an open mind rather than to affirm the life choices you may be married to.

There is great controversy right now about the Carnivore Diet and while this debate is not animals friend or foe it has impacted a lot of people’s perception of the role of vegetables in the human diet.

So Sherry Strong invited Greg German to a debate, please note she didn’t challenge him to this debate.

These colleagues have a great deal of respect for one another and their fields of endeavour.

So this is the format for tonight. Each debater will be given 30 minutes to debate their case Vegetables Friend or Foe. Then they will take 15 minutes to respond to the case made by the other. If we have time after we will take questions and brief comments to allow for others. Please respect this if you are wishing to question or comment.

There will be no winner decided by the group, this is not a contest but a platform to present information.

We hope you enjoy the evening! Let’s get started.

Greg as he was invited to the debate will go first and you can introduce him first and introduce me after he is finished.

We need to time each of us and give a 5 minute notice.
