Let me tell you about some weird and crazy things you should know about living in Mexico as an American or foreigner. Moving to Mexico can present some interesting, and sometimes uncomfortable, surprises. I want you to know a few things that might interest you if you travel to Mexico, some of them are important, others trivial, others just plain weird.
Mexico is part of North America so it's no surprise there are lots of English speakers there, but we'll look at the exact numbers of how many people speak English in Mexico. The dogs can freak you out, it's really awkward when kids beg you for money, you'll get ripped off, you'll step in poo and garbage, there's too many gringos in this country, but it's also much less dangerous than you think living in Mexico and it's a very pleasant place to live overall. It's not a super dangerous place to live like a lot of people will have you believe. There are some dangerous places to go to in Mexico, but overall, life is quite safe.
