DRIVER ROLLS VEHICLE IN SOUTH LIVINGSTON, LIVINGSTON TEXAS, 10/22/23...

Sleepy Driver Rolls Vehicle, LIVINGSTON, October 23, 2023 - At around 10:10 pm on October 23, 2023, the driver of a black Chevy sedan (possibly a Chevy Impala) was north-bound on US-59. The female driver allegedly fell asleep at the wheel and rolled her vehicle on the pavement, coming to rest upright just on the south side of the overpass at the south end of Pan American Drive. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department Heavy Rescue Unit, Trooper Cotye Lowrie with the Texas Highway Patrol, and the Livingston Police Department, including Officers Justin Murdock, Keenan Dillard, and Sergeant David Mitchell. The driver (name not yet released), was entrapped in the back seat of her vehicle. Volunteer Firemen used the Jaws-of-Life to cut the door off of her vehicle. The driver was transported by ambulance from the scene to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital. All traffic on 59 was blocked during investigation and cleanup.
