Rapture

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 is often misinterpreted as supporting a secret rapture, but this isn't the case. The passage emphasizes that the dead are in the grave, not in heaven or hell, and describes their resurrection. It focuses on Christ's second coming to establish His earthly Kingdom with great fanfare. "The Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel and with the trumpet of God" (verse 16). As Christ descends, His saints are resurrected or changed into spirit beings. These verses point to a thrilling future when God's way of life will be established on earth for all of humanity.
