The Great Pumpkin

The Great Pumpkin is a Santa-like Myth that Linus believes comes once a year and gives presents to good girls and boys. He writes letters to the great pumpkin and waits all night in a local pumpkin patch for it to show up.

Spoiler alert. It never does. His stubbornness and faith caused him to miss out on the fun that life has with trick-or-treating and a costume party with his friends.

Released in 1965, It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown has a deep moral to the story.
