Fruit Custard Recipe :-
Ingredients:
2 cups of milk
2 tablespoons of custard powder
3-4 tablespoons of sugar (adjust to taste)
A handful of mixed seasonal fruits (e.g., bananas, apples, grapes, and pomegranate seeds)
1/2 teaspoon of vanilla essence (optional)
Instructions:
In a small bowl, mix the custard powder with a few tablespoons of cold milk to create a smooth paste.
In a saucepan, heat the remaining milk over medium heat. Add sugar and stir until it dissolves.
Once the milk comes to a gentle boil, reduce the heat and pour in the custard paste. Stir continuously to avoid lumps and allow it to thicken. This usually takes 7-8 minutes.
Remove the custard from heat and let it cool to room temperature. You can also refrigerate it for a while.
Chop the mixed fruits into bite-sized pieces and add them to the cooled custard.
Add vanilla essence for a hint of flavour (optional).
Mix everything well, and your homemade fruit custard is ready to be enjoyed!
Chickpea Chaat with Greens and Veggies Recipe:-
Ingredients:
1 can of chickpeas (15 oz), drained and rinsed
1 cup finely chopped tomatoes, onions, and cucumbers
1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro (coriander)
1/4 cup chopped mint leaves
1 green chili (optional, for heat)
1 teaspoon chaat masala (adjust to taste)
Salt to taste
Juice of 1 lemon
Tamarind chutney (optional, for added flavor)
Instructions:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the chickpeas, chopped tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, and green chili.
Add finely chopped cilantro and mint leaves for freshness.
Season the mixture with chaat masala, salt, and the juice of one lemon. Adjust the spices to your preference.
Toss the ingredients together, ensuring even distribution of the spices.
If you prefer a sweeter element, you can add tamarind chutney.
Let the chickpea chaat sit for a few minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Serve in individual portions and garnish with extra herbs and lemon wedges if desired.
These two recipes are easy to prepare and make for a delicious and healthy addition to your Durga Ashtami celebration or any occasion. Enjoy!
