The Coeur d'Alene City Council has approved a plan to replace the Third Street Morning Docks next to Tubbs Hill. The project will be funded by a state waterfront improvement grant of $329,000 and a city match of $154,823.
The wooden docks are close to 25 years old and have reached the end of their lifespan. The new docks will be rebuilt with a composite deck, steel frame, and polystyrene floats, which are expected to last closer to 50 years.
