McCall bans Dear Feeding

McCall City Council members have unanimously passed an ordinance preventing the feeding of deer and other wildlife in city limits. The ordinance calls for a $100 fine for the first offense and a misdemeanor charge for subsequent offenses.

The new ordinance is designed to protect both deer and the community from the negative impacts of feeding wildlife. The ordinance does not include birds and squirrels, which are not considered to be nuisance wildlife.
