How to get free safety equipment for your home

The home is the most likely place for kids under 5 to get hurt, so Children's Hospital is helping get safety equipment into local homes for free. Families with children under 5 who live in ZIP codes 45212 or 45215 can receive a free safety kit on Saturday. The kits include items like baby gates, door knob covers, outlet covers, bath thermometers, CO2 detectors and more. Just call 513-517-4663 to receive a kit if you live in neighborhoods covered by those ZIP codes. On Saturday, volunteers will gather at the Norwood recreation center to deliver these kits to families in need. The problem is that they don't have enough volunteers. Call 513-517-HOME to volunteer or to receive a kit.
