How to park an aircraft carrier

USS ESSEX arrives at Pier 12 of Naval Station Norfolk in October 1968. The carrier had just recovered the Apollo 7 capsule, her last mission in a career which began in World War II. Crews can be seen unloading the Apollo 7 capsule towards the end of the video.
