The perfect portfolio in investment from John Bogle's view
John Clifton "Jack" Bogle (May 8, 1929 – January 16, 2019) was a prominent American investor, business tycoon, and a generous philanthropist. He is most renowned as the founding figure and chief executive of The Vanguard Group, recognized for pioneering the concept of the first-ever index fund.
With a profound dedication to investment practices, Bogle consistently emphasized the significance of investing over speculating, advocating for long-term patience as opposed to short-term actions. He championed the minimization of broker fees to benefit investors to the fullest extent possible.
Bogle's preferred investment vehicle was a low-cost index fund held for an individual's lifetime, with dividends reinvested and acquired through dollar cost averaging.
In one of his recorded discussions, he candidly shared his vision of an ideal portfolio and delved into a personal analysis of his own retirement investments. Essentially, Bogle adhered to a balanced 50/50 allocation of bonds and shares within his retirement plan.
