Heartstopping footage shows the moment a black bear launched toward a child on a scooter - but was soon scared away by a man nearby.

The young boy was standing near a fence when a large black bear suddenly started walking towards him.

But in a moment of sheer bravery, the kid stood firmly and kept looking at the bear, which caused the animal to hesitate and stop walking.
