Singer, Song-writer, Storyteller, solo-guitarist, Bionca McCall, is a born and raised Detroit native.
As an intermediate musician, and a sultry, smooth singer, she is no stranger to Detroit’s Artist Community. Traveling across Detroit’s diverse spectrum of musical talent & genius, like many others, it was in the church that she discovered her calling to music. She began to sing at the age of 6. She discovered her hidden gift of song. Upon joining the church choir, her love for music blossomed. She also sang in other small children’s choirs, such as the choir at Marcus Garvey Academy in Detroit, where she attended both elementary and Middle School. Upon her years there, she became fluent in African Music & Dance. Playing instruments that ranged from the Djembe drum, all the way to Akadinda (African Xylophone).

Upon her High School years, she was allowed to enhance her music skill, by taking an interest in teaching herself to read music, whenever she had time away from her 2nd calling: Basketball. Upon graduation from Southeastern, she went forth to attend Xavier University, Cincinnati, OH. It was here that she rekindled the flame that music had once sparked. She began to perform at small jazz clubs, as well as other local venues around the town of Cincinnati. Maintaining work both academically, and on the court, Music stayed present as the source of her determination to be successful. Learning that she also possessed a certain way with people, she began to use her skills to achieve much more than just success in the classroom, and athletically, but she began to spread messages of positive creativity throughout her campaign as a new musical artist.

Upon her departure from Xavier UNIV., Bionca, once again picked up a basketball and got to work. She has joined several Semi-Pro teams, and she’s also has had the opportunity to coach Men’s High School Basketball, as well as Men’s AAU basketball. In addition, she has continued to network both as a musician and a coach. Her last coaching endeavor being her alma mater, Southeastern High School. While influencing her fellow teammates, and players, she decided to go back to school to major in Music production and recording.
