Short silent film, a comedy produced, directed and starred by Max Linder, cited as the first star of international cinema.

After buying a new hat, Max walks down the street. A cat is sitting on a high window sill, near a vase of flowers. When Max passes on the street below, the cat drops the vase on his head, breaking his hat. The cat then jumps (or rather is thrown) on top of Max and runs away.
