Silent drama film, produced and directed by British filmmaker George Albert Smith, one of the pioneers in film editing, close-ups and coloring.

As it was one of the first films to demonstrate the new close-up technique, it was consequently the first to present a close-up of a cat in the cinema (which appears to be a female, due to the use of the bow).
