The gospel message is a message of forgiveness for sin through the atoning work of Jesus Christ, the son of God. It is essentially God's rescue plan of redemption for those who trust in His divine Son in order to be reconciled/forgiveness to a just and holy God.4 The essential ingredients of the gospel message are the death, burial, resurrection, and appearances of the resurrected Christ Jesus, the son of God. The New Testament calls us to "repent and believe the gospel ( JESUS )," which means turning from our rebellion/sin against God and submitting to him. Our sins are outlined in the 10 commandments, we have all sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God, but Jesus has paid our price on the cross, His Blood Covers our sin when we believe and trust in him. The Gospel is the GOOD NEWS message that has come to us from God and is a message about Jesus, God's Son who lives forever and if we trust in the blood he shed on the cross for our sins, we are forgive and made into a new creation!
