Beach Life for Young Black Skimmers

Black Skimmers form colonies for nesting on our nearby beach. However, as development continues, the space necessary for a fruitful nesting season diminishes. Coupled with the influx of beachgoers, raising their families here becomes an almost insurmountable challenge for these birds. Let's remember to honor the presence of these birds on the beach as this is their natural habitat.
