Truman has no idea that every person he has ever met is an actor and his entire world is a constructed set. He has been guided into his friendships, career, and marriage while utterly unaware of the thousands of cleverly hidden cameras watching his every move, for nearly three decades of his life.

The Truman Show, is a lot like waking up, to the made up reality that we are living in. News stories that are fabricated to spread propaganda and fear, The education system that's is designed to brainwash children to train them as obedient slaves, The medicines that harms people, instead of healing them, Governments who coercively strips freedoms of it's citizens, The movies, TV, music, fashion that is designed to keep us away from the reality. When one begins to see all this and awaken from a lifetime of deception, it’s very much reminiscent of the character Truman.

Not to mention that, The Truman Show also symbolically reveals the true shape of our physical world, we live in. You can find many uncanny resemblances between the movie's enclosed domed world and The Flat Earth Reality of our own world.
