Katy Jonez, a 2017 bay mare, is a finished reined cowhorse and barrel horse. She is a NRCHA, ranch cutting, and barrel horse money earner. Katy qualified for the NRCHA World Show in the youth boxing with my daughter riding her. She runs in the 2D right now with major 1D potential. She has already placed several times in the 1D recently at a local race. She has also won a junior rodeo in barrels. She would make an excellent high school or college mount. She has never hit a barrel and has a quick catty turning style. Katy is a huge stopper and has beautiful spins just like her sire, Travelin Jonez who has won over $197k in the reined cowhorse and has produce earnings in excess of $730k. Her full sibling is a successful barrel horse and is currently being ran in WPRAs. Katy is Royal Crown eligible. She is patterned on poles but hasn’t been entered. She was started in the reined cowhorse and then transitioned to barrels recently and is excelling there. She is gritty and extremely quick. Katy gives everything she does 100%. Nothing bothers her and she has seen all the sights from being hauled to numerous NRCHA shows and barrel races. She would also make a nice heel horse, breakaway, or a sorting horse also. She is so cowy. Katy has been hauled to rodeos and doesn’t care about banners and she’s been used to carry flags at rodeos. She had x-rays done when she was 3 and was clean, PPEs are welcome. She also rides bareback and knows some tricks like how to lay down on command. She is a fun horse to ranch on or go for a trail ride. She stops huge and always, always, uses her hind end. The possibilities are endless with this fantastic mare!
