While the mainstream media paraded around Capitol Police officer Harry Dunn as the hero of the “insurrection,” it was actually Lt. Johnson whose actions on that day were inspirational. It was Johnson who made the call to evacuate the Capitol as protesters began to pour into the chamber. Why? Because the actual person in command on that day, Chief Yogananda Pittman, went radio silent as the chaos grew. Rather than receiving an accommodation from President Biden like Dunn, Lt. Johnson was suspended from the Capitol patrol for nearly 18 months. The reason for the suspension was said to be the red MAGA hat Johnson was seen wearing during the events. But Johnson says that’s not the whole story.
