Loki Season 1 - Recap & Review

Loki resumes his role as the God of Mischief in a new series that takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame. After he escapes from the Avengers with the Tesseract in 2012 and is captured by the Time Variance Authority, a mysterious organization that monitors and maintains the Sacred Timeline. Loki is forced to help them catch a dangerous variant of himself who is disrupting the timeline, while also discovering the secrets of his own identity and destiny.

The first season of Loki consists of six episodes that premiered on Disney+ from June 9 to July 14, 2021. It is part of Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and sets up the events of the upcoming films Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. It stars Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Owen Wilson as Mobius, and Sophia Di Martino as Sylvie, a female variant of Loki. The season also features appearances from Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Wunmi Mosaku, Tara Strong, Richard E. Grant, and Jonathan Majors.
