Rep. Tlaib, When You Tell Lies, You Should Apologize.

On Wednesday, President Joe Biden flew to Israel to demonstrate his support for the war in Israel, even as protestors stormed a Congressional office building back in Washington, D.C. The protest — like those taking place in front of Israeli and American embassies across the Middle East — seems to have been fueled by reports that Israel had bombed a hospital, killing hundreds.

When the news first broke on Tuesday, leftist media outlets including the BBC and CNN suggested that Israel was likely responsible for the attack — the Israeli government even called out the BBC on X on Thursday, calling the false reports “modern blood libel.” “We see you, and now everyone else does too,” the statement read.

Progressive Democrats, including Rashida Tlaib, jumped on the news, denouncing Israel and Biden’s support for the nation on X.

Just hours after Biden assured the world that U.S. intelligence had corroborated Israel’s claim that it was not responsible for the deadly airstrike, U.S. Representative Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) gave a tearful address to protestors outside the Capitol, doubling down on her earlier criticism of the president and Israel.

Republican lawmakers, including Rep. Mike Lawler (R-N.Y.), have since called on Tlaib to apologize. “It is appalling and unacceptable that Democrats in Congress partook in Hamas’ misinformation campaign,” Lawler wrote in a statement.
