💬 LESSON DESCRIPTION:
This is another episode of my series called "Make it a Chord Melody."
In this part of the series, I talk about improvising jazz guitar chord melodies.
When we play chord melodies, we support every note in the melody with a chord shape.
In this lesson, I teach you how to improvise chord melodies using different voicings of the dominant 7th chord.
So far, we’ve already covered minor 7 chords.
The series is designed to familiarize yourself with chord voicings to be able to harmonize a melody with any chord type.
So by the end of it, you’ll be prepared to improvise jazz guitar chord melodies over any progression that you encounter.
In this week’s video, I go through concrete steps to help you learn some versatile dominant 7 chord voicings.
With some practice, you’ll have the muscle memory to whip them out at a moment’s notice!
I hope you enjoyed this lesson about improvising jazz guitar chord melodies with dominant 7th chords.
Let me know what you thought in the comments.
Thanks! :)
