Thrifting for Antique & Vintage Deals on 400-Mile Yard Sale!

Thrift stores, cheap roadside garage and barn sellers, vintage dealers and retired resellers...there's so many places to get bargains on the Hwy 68/80 400-mile sale in Kentucky! We're on a quest to see if we can make it through all 400 miles in three days...

It's day one, and we're at a barn way out in the country early in the morning, cracking the ice after a look through flatbed trailers full of used and vintage goods. A better selection awaits us at the next two country barn sales, an we're starting to hit our rhythm when we hit the Amish produce stand (and "necessary" room) on the way through to Cadiz!

Cadiz, Kentucky is a true antique and vintage destination year-round, but we skip all the malls we've seen in favor of helping a guy who's liquidating a long-closed antique store in order to bring his own flavor of vintage in to sell! He helps us too, with $50 in bargains ranging from a cutesy kitschy 1970s Lefton mouse mushroom nightlight to Playboy insignia and Hull pottery. We wrap up at a JunkFest outdoors that is going on a day early to catch us early buyers, the trunk is already mostly full and there's two more days to go!
