The term "Earthset" is used to describe the phenomenon of the Earth appearing to set from the vantage point of a spacecraft or observer in space. Similar to a sunset on Earth, an Earthset occurs when a spacecraft moves away from the Earth, allowing the observer to witness the gradual disappearance of the Earth's disk below the spacecraft's horizon.
