Ken Owen (of DePauw University and former TV news anchor/reporter) moderated this televised debate organized by the Indiana Debate Commission. Democrat Evan Bayh, Republican Todd Young and Libertarian Lucy Brenton came together at a studio of public television station WFYI in Indianapolis.
Bayh, Young and Brenton were vying to succeed Sen. Dan Coats, a Republican who is not seeing re-election.
As with three gubernatorial debates already scheduled, members of the public can submit questions they would put to the candidates. Questions can be submitted to the IDC through its website at http://indianadebatecommission.com. The debate commission will select questions on a variety of topics for use in the debates.
