This great treasure, however, is sometimes found even by those who are not actively looking for it and those who have to search for it diligently. If one sells all they have to buy something, then clearly, they consider they are buying something that is extremely precious or valuable, in this case the Kingdom of Heaven. we find that both persons have great value for the treasure they found and sold all to acquire the field Paul writes but whatever former things I had that might have been gains to me, I have come to consider as [a one combined] loss for Christ’s sake. and that it may be clear to all that I am in Him, not because of any righteousness of my own, that righteousness whose source is the Law, but because of the righteousness which comes through Jesus Christ, the righteousness whose source is God and whose basis is faith.
