After a crazy covid journey, I was left solo traveling from Siargao Philippines to Cebu on a Philippines overnight ferry. The overnight ferries in the Philippines are great for budget travelers looking to get to islands in the Philippines on a budget, but I will warn you, it's not for the faint of heart. My journey from Siargao to Cebu to Bangkok took over 36 hours an involved sleeping on a ferry, dying of heat in the Filipino heat, and sleeping in Cebu's Mactan Airport.
