Psalm 129(130), Evening, Reading, Reflection &Study- "Out of Depths I Cry" Discussion Matt 14:22-33
Good evening, my brothers and sisters in Christ.
Psalm 129(130)
Waiting for the Redemption of the Lord
A Song of Ascents.
130 Out of the depths I have cried to You, O Lord;
2 Lord, hear my voice!
Let Your ears be attentive.
To the voice of my supplications.
3 If You, Lord, should [a]mark iniquities,
O Lord, who could stand?
4 But there is forgiveness with You,
That You may be feared.
5 I wait for the Lord, my soul waits,
And in His word, I do hope.
6 My soul waits for the Lord
More than those who watch for the morning—
Yes, more than those who watch for the morning.
7 O Israel, hope in the Lord;
For with the Lord, there is mercy,
And with Him is abundant redemption.
8 And He shall redeem Israel
From all his iniquities.
SUMMARY:
Jared led a discussion on spiritual topics, drawing on Psalms 130 to emphasize the importance of hope, patience, and redemption. He also highlighted serving others and the importance of forgiveness and mercy with the Lord. The discussion focused on several Bible passages, including Matthew, Chapter 14, verses 22 through 33, where Jesus walks on the sea, and the story of Christ saving Peter from drowning. Jared encouraged attendees to listen to the words of the Psalms, have patience in their spiritual journey, and never give up on faith and salvation.

Matthew 14:28-32
28 And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.”
29 So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus. 30 But when he saw [e]that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!”
31 And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” 32 And when they got into the boat, the wind ceased.
Jesus Walks on Water: A Divine Miracle
Jared led a discussion on Matthew, Chapter 14, verses 22 through 33, focusing on the scene where Jesus walks on the sea. He emphasized that this miracle confirms the divinity of Christ as it shows God's dominance over nature. The discussion also delved into the faith of Peter, who, despite being afraid, was able to walk on water towards Jesus.
From Doubt to Deliverance: Peter's Story
Jared discussed the story of Christ saving Peter from drowning. He highlighted that Peter's sinking was not caused by the storm but by his doubt and fear. Jared emphasized that we often become obstacles due to self-doubt and fear. He pointed out that Christ, like Jesus, can lift us out of these depths and make us whole again. Jared ended the discussion with an encouragement to understand and empathize with Peter's experience.
Faith, Patience, and Forgiveness
Jared emphasizes the importance of being patient with the Lord and never giving up on faith and sales. Jared encourages the participants to keep their hope in faith and patience and to never give up on Christ. He also emphasizes the need to pray for peace and forgive those who love us and those who hate us.
