Autumn Woodland Compositions

Composing images in a busy woodland can feel quite daunting at times, and in this video, it was no exception. Join me as i share my thought processes when breaking down a woodland scene when making an image.

Finding a waterfall or two, really gets the creative juices flowing when composing in a woodland.

As i continue my journey into filmmaking I'm learning so much on the way.

I have also switched from using Premiere Pro for editing my videos to Davinci Resolve and have found it a bit of a learning curve.

One of the mistakes I have made in the recording of this video is one to do with exposure and I simply overlooked a few settings that didn't become apparent until I came to edit this video together.

It was surprisingly dark with in these woodlands and even darker again once the heavy rain set in. Needless to say, I did struggle trying to give this video a little punch of colour, but I don't think I executed it very well, but I did do the best I could under the circumstances.

I do love a steep learning curve!
