Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced new slimmer PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Digital Edition models. According to Gematsu the slim ps5 models will have a 30% reduced volume and will also be lighter compared to the regular version. Internal storage has also been upgraded to one terabyte. Users who purchase the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition can purchase the blu ray drive separately. Nothing was mentioned on the specs so we assume its the same. The slim models will have a select launch date for US retailers on November. In Japan, it was announced that it will release on November 10. As for the price the PlayStation 5 with Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive will cost $499 while the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition costs $449.99. The vertical stand is sold separately at $29.99.
