EEOC “Right to Sue Letter” issued on Mask Mandate

October 18, 2023, Interview, A right to sue an employer was issued on the mask mandate policy that was forced on an employee of the Racine Unified School District. Kayla the employee asked for a religious exemption from the mask mandate. The request was denied. Kayla was terminated for refusing to wear the mask. She then filed a complaint with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) which issued her a right to sue, which clears the path for a discrimination lawsuit in federal court.
