Homeowners across the country need to keep their title deeds upto date. Make sure that your leasehold has not expired and be vigilant and do a search on the relevant websites to ensure that your title is clear and free from any liens. Pay your land rates on time and do not engage anybody who comes to the door with any paperwork. Make sure you are proactive at all times. Land is scare and the land and property syndicate is out to cheat and rob innocent people of their valuables. The only time your land can be taken from you is through the eminent domain doctrine. The government can take your land in each exchange for relevant compensation. This should be a priority of the Kenyan law society to make sure that anybody who breaks the law should face maximum punitive damages.
