Michigan will be losing 19 underperforming Right Aid pharmacies amid the companies' bankruptcy restructuring.

The company, which has more than 2,100 pharmacies in 17 states, plans to close a total of 154 locations. Back in September, that number was reported as many as 500.

Customer prescriptions will be transferred to other pharmacies to avoid disruptions, and employees will be transferred to other Rite Aid stores, when possible, the company said.

All 19 Michigan stores that are closing are in the Lower Peninsula.
